Fishing
Little Piney Ranch has three large ponds
containing trout on the ranch property. One of the ponds is located directly behind
our cabins and the other two are nearby. Piney Creek, which also has trout, is
located a short walk away. You are welcome to enjoy "catch & release"
fishing during your stay with us.
Little Piney Ranch also provides a comfortable and relaxing
place to stay while serving as a base for many other local fishing opportunities. |

| In addition to fishing on the ranch, there are many
other fishing locations nearby. Lake DeSmet, located about 10 miles south of the
ranch just off of Interstate 90, has fishing available from the shore and by boat.
Boat ramps and boat rentals are also available at the lake. The
Big Horn Mountains and Bighorn National Forest are a short drive away where there are
numerous lakes and streams available for trout fishing. For those who seriously
love to hike in the mountains, there are over 200 lakes in the Big Horns! The Tie
Hack Reservoir, located about 15 miles west of Buffalo, Wyoming, is easily accessed off of
US Highway 16. Sibley Lake, west of Ranchester, Wyoming, is located right along US
Highway 14.
